Obituary for Frederick John Reitz Sr.

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Frederick J Reitz, 81, of Ellicott City, MD, passed away peacefully August 9, 2019 with his family present. He was born January 6, 1938 in Baltimore, MD and resided in Ellicott City for the past 34 years. He attended and boarded at McDonogh School from 1st grade until his graduation. Fred was in the Maryland National Guard as Medic and received an Honorable Discharge.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Reitz ; son Frederick J Reitz, Jr and wife Joanna; daughter Wendy A Neumann and husband William; loving grandfather of Frederick J Reitz, III (Galena), Bradley T Reitz (Jennifer), Chelsea M McQuitty (Ryan), Todd C Reitz, Christian Neumann, and great grandfather of Amelia Reitz, Collins McQuitty, Odin Reitz, and brother of Robert T Reitz.
A Masonic Ceremony will be conducted by Washington Lodge No. 3 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons followed by a Celebration of Life service. To be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Boumi Temple 5050 King Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21237.
