Donald Salvatore Lanza
October 19, 1950 – July 31, 2019
Donald Salvatore Lanza passed on July 31, 2019 at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland due to complications related to a long battle with lung cancer.
Donald was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Salvatore and Lydia Lanza. He grew up with his Sister, Barbara and Brother Joseph. He attended Saint Clement School and Southern High School. Don was a talented athlete, earning varsity letters in three sports. After his high school career, Don continued his interests in athletics by playing golf, softball and bowling. Other interests included Games, Crosswords and card playing, both in a team environment as well as a personal pastime.
Don’s professional career was centered on the craft of Carpentry and woodwork, where he partnered and worked with a small nucleus of associates as an installer of fine custom Cabinetry. He was the embodiment of the architecture and craftsmanship that he prided himself on creating.
Donald was pre-deceased by his Wife Osha nee Gray and their son Anthony. And he leaves behind two daughters, Stephanie of Los Angeles and Jamie and her husband James of Annapolis, Maryland.
Donald is survived by his life partner of twenty years, Blanche Bray, and her extended family, Daughter Elena and Eric with their children Eva, Luke and Brooklyn and Son Slanz and Julia with their children Isabella and Ascenzio.
A memorial service and reception is scheduled for 1PM on September 15th, 2019, at the Ferndale Community Club located at 15 5th Ave, Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061. 410-766-9727.
