Planted in the area of greatest need

(Let's try this again)

My fondest memories of Auntie were when I was very young. She lived 2 1/2 blocks from me in Benld. She was my first baby sitter. She played catch with me, taught me to hit a baseball (I still have that small bat), played badminton, croquet, and pushed me on that tree swing.

She moved to Maryland when I was nine to attend the university. I made it out there a few times--enjoyed the boat, going to the ocean and spending time with family.

It's good seeing the photo tribute of her, esp. those pics with my Mom.

When I was very young, I grew up with Auntie. We lived 2 1/2 blocks from her in Benld. These are my fondest memories. She was my first baby-sitter, she would play catch with me, teach me to hit a ball (I still have that small bat), played badminton and croquet, and she pushed me on that tree swing. When I was 9, she was 18; she graduated from high school and moved to Maryland to attend the university. It is good seeing the pics and seeing the pics with my Mom.

Darlene was an exceptional and dear friend for almost 50 years. Garland and I will always fondly remember our travel adventures with Tom and Darlene, especially to Hawaii and the beaches along the eastern shore. Sarah and Whitney will dearly miss their Godmother/Great Godmother to Cole. May God Bless Darlene, Tom and their families. Love, Peggy
