Shane C. Colliatie, age 40, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2019, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born July 18, 1978, in Mulvane Kansas, to Stanton and Sherry Colliatie. He married Deanna Boychuk on June 9, 2002, in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba Canada. In 2003 he moved to Orlando to pursue his dream of making video games and attended Full Sail University. He graduated with honors with a degree in Video Game Design. After getting several titles under his belt and starting a family, Shane moved them to Maryland to work at Chaos Group, where he became one of the creators of V-Ray for Revit.
Shane was a kind human, funny as hell, devoted husband, father and amazing family man, a software engineer and pioneer among his peers in the industry. He was a follower of science and logic. He was an avid gamer and could be found most Fridays hosting or playing Magic the Gathering.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna and his children, Lara and Logan; mother, Sherry Colliatie; and a brother, Shaun Colliatie. He leaves behind his best friend, Nick King.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Shane touched are invited to the MULVANE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 502 Highland Park Drive, Mulvane KS, at 10 am on Saturday, July 13th, 2019.
