I knew Darryl as a friend and an extremely devoted single parent whose only goal in life was to provide a better home and life for Trinity. Even during his long illness, while he was in Dallas, he was totally focused on surviving so he could be with Trinity and provide her the care and guidance he felt she needed. Darryl loved Trinity very much and she was his reason for living. I greatly admire his continued will to live even under difficult circumstances.
Darryl was a good friend and will certainly be missed. I do hope that Trinity grows up to be the fine young lady that he knew she could be.

Sixteen years is not really a long time to know someone who has lived for 54 years, so I have not known Darryl long. I met him when he was married to E-bay and he seemed so happy. And then Trinity was born and he was such a proud papa. But then E-bay died and Darryl became a single dad. I'm sure it was the hardest thing he ever did, but something that was a labor of love, because he loved Trinity deeply and completely. She was Tee-Tee, she was T-bird. She was his heart and soul. So, my strongest memories of Darryl will always be as a loving, proud father.
