Sara was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, and grew up in the Laurel/Washington DC area. She worked for AACPS Cafeteria for 15 years and Giant Foods for 3 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary A. Plumley, Sr. (2019); mother, Mary L. Flanagan (2017); brother, Raymond D. King (1979); grandson, William Jackson (2009); and granddaughter, Bria Amera Brown (2011).
She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Andrews of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Melvin D. King of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Leslie Hausnan of Kentucky; son, Leonard W. Black, III of Michigan; daughter, Dorothy Y. Brown and her husband, Raymond Brown, of Ellicott City, MD; daughter, Lottie M. Motley and her husband, Austin Motley, of Boonville, MO; son, Gary W. Plumley, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD; daughter, Virginia K. Plumley of Glen Burnie, MD; and son, Carlos R Plumley, II of Glen Burnie, MD.
Also, she is survived by her grandchildren Kiley Black, Cody Hall, Adalaine Suksta, Raymond Brown, Jr., Annabella Motley, Lucian Plumley, Lily Motley, and Amira Brown.
She is also survived by her cousins George Klipp of Hagerstown, MD and Kim Tanner of Dayton, FL; her niece Cheyene Timmon of Salem, VA; and her Nephew, Craig A. Timmons, Jr. of Roanoke, VA.
