Obituary for Richard Duwayne Wilson Jr.

WILSON, Richard DuWayne, Jr.
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard (Rich) DuWayne Wilson, Jr. announces his passing after a brief battle with cancer, on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the age of 62 years.

Rich’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile, sense of humor, and caring and warm heart brought so much joy to our family.

Rich was born in 1956 in Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC, and was a lifelong resident of the great State of Maryland. At the time of his death, he lived in Severn, Maryland and worked at Sita Tile Distributers, Capital Heights, MD. In his earlier years, Rich also worked as a volunteer fireman and first responder for Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire Department, Company 13. Rich was predeceased by his Mother, Mary Anne Catherine, his Father, Richard DuWayne Wilson, Sr., and youngest brother, Wilbur Carl. Rich is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Anna Jade Enderson, his sister Joe Anne (Bob) Kennedy and his brothers Michael (Pam) Wilson and Bobby Wilson. Rich will also be forever loved and remembered by his nephews: Bobby (Alicia) Kennedy, Joe (Andrea) Kennedy, Carl Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Justin Wilson and extended family and dear friends.

Private interment will be near his parents and brother at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD. Please join the family on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 2 - 5 pm to pay respects and celebrate Richard’s life. The Celebration of Life will be held at the home of his brother, Mike Wilson, at 15000 Running Park Ct., Bowie, Maryland.
